EAGLES @ GIANTS - 8:15 PM
So I don't think you need to watch this video to know that the Giants don't beat the Eagles very often in recent years. They do cover the number sometimes though.

But I will say... if you just isolate it to the games in the Meadowlands, they've actually been competitive and have won quite a few of these.

We've got both these teams coming off losses. In fact, both these teams blew sizeable leads in the game. The Eagles blew a 14 point 4th quarter lead... the Giants weren't as bad. They were up 14-3 early.

So let's start with the matchup for the Eagles offense. This offense has not been very impressive so far this year, in fact, they're below average. But the good news, the Eagles offense runs the ball more frequently than any other offense in the NFL... and the Giants have been terrible against the run this year.

So I suppose the number 1 question here is... what can the Giants to do keep the Giants from completely smoking them on the ground in this game? Now, the Eagles will be missing an important piece of this offensive line. The two OTs are healthy... but Landon Dickerson would be the 3rd best player on that line and he will not be playing in this game.

Now the Giants defense is pretty thin at LB. Not only is McFadden still on the IR, but they also have injuries to the depth at LB. They're going to need their defensive line to dominate in this game.

Which isn't completely out of the question.. cuz without Dickerson, the IOL for the Eagles is actually really vulnerable. And Dexter Lawrence is an actual problem in the middle. Lawrence only played 31 snaps last week... I think the Giants are coming to showcase some defense in this one.

We talked about how this Giants defensive front has been terrible against the run so far this year... well we do wanna give em some credit though. They shut the run down last week against the Saints. Now it's the Saints... we don't want to overreact. But we should point out that the Giants defensive front just played its best game of the season last week, despite the loss.

And let's be honest... the Eagles haven't run the ball well. They were running the ball a bit in the opener against Dallas... we haven't seen much of a rushing attack from the Eagles since then. Now, they played strong defenses... but this is concerning if you're a Philly fan.

So I really do think there's a path to the Giants defense playing well here. It's a short week... Giants have had this one circled. I do wanna give some credit to Jalen Hurts. He's been better the last few games after a really inefficient start to the season. But, this Eagles offense really hasn't looked that strong so far.

Now on the other side... can this Giants offense do anything against the Eagles defense?

We've got injury concerns for both teams on this side of the ball. The Eagles defense is still missing Nolan Smith. Nakobe Dean might return for this one... but I'm not sure on that. It's been a long time since he's played and even if he's activated, I doubt he'll play a huge role. Jalen Carter was also just added to the report with a heel injury and I'm actually reading there's a chance he doesn't play.

The Giants are missing two of their main WRs. They also might be missing their RT. He participated in a LP on Wednesday so we'll see.

If you're a Giants fan or betting the Giants, you're looking right here. This run game seems to be working. It's efficient... it seems to be lasting multiple games. Jaxson Dart now adds another element to this rushing attack. Giants are looking to run the ball in this game.

So the question is... do we think Philly's defense can go into MetLife on a short week and stop it. Keep in mind, this Eagles defense has been getting run on all year.

I also wouldn't be crazy surprised to see Jaxson Dart connect on a HR swing in this game. The Eagles are coming into this one with one strategy... stop the Giants from running the ball. I wouldn't be shocked to see Dart connect with Jalin Hyatt on a big play in this one.
