STANDINGS

You'd have to say the Chargers have the huge advantage on this side of the ball.

The story of the Chargers defense comes down to injuries. Mack, Perryman, Henley and Hand were all injured at one point. They're all back.

Since this defense has gotten healthy, they've been lockdown against the run.

I'm not sure how we can rely on Philadelphia running the ball in this game.

Still no Lane Johnson.

Chargers pass rush also might be a problem here. Now Jalen Hurts has done a good job handling pressure so far this year... but he does have a tendency to hold onto the football.

Jalen Hurts hasn't really played well recently.

Chargers run a lotta Cover 3 and a lotta Cover 4. Jalen Hurts has done a lot of his damage against man coverage this year.

The Chargers defense has done a good job against downfield throws.

I'm sure the Eagles offense will figure it out at some point... but until they show me something, I'm going to continue to price Philly out as a bad offense cuz that's how they're playing right now.

Now on the other side of the ball, this is where I'm not sure how much I trust the Chargers.

The Chargers offensive line has been a concern all season. Looks like Herbert's gonna play. "He underwent successful surgery on Monday and has been listed as questionable for the upcoming game, but all indications are optimistic."

Offensive line is healthy (kinda)... Hampton is back.

LAC 8TH OFFENSIVE LINE COMBINATION LAST WEEK. Salyer played well at LT. Makhi Becton played RT.

Do we think the Eagles still dominate this matchup up front without Jalen Carter?

We've seen the Eagles play two games without Jalen Carter on the field this season... the defense didn't look good in either of them.

We're coming off a game where the Bears just steamrolled Philadelphia on the ground.

Stopping the run has kinda been a problem for the Eagles for most of this season. They had that one 3 game stretch where we all kinda thought "ok the Eagles defense is back". But they were struggling against the run earlier in the season.

As far as the Chargers run game... not particularly a unit I trust. They were actually running the ball a bit tho if you rewind a couple games. With Hampton back? I think the Chargers might be able to run the ball a bit in this one.

I really don't know if I trust Justin Herbert to piece the Eagles up. It clear they don't trust the pass protection right now. The ball's coming out of Justin Herbert's hands fast.

I will say... we've only seen this Eagles defense play two games indoors this entire season and they got thrown on both times.

I'm on the Chargers +2.5. I'd lean under on the total.
