NFL Week 13 Monday

GIANTS @ PATRIOTS - 8:15 PM

Giants have been a tough out for New England.

But this game's on the road. Giants have lost 12 consecutive road games dating back to last season (franchise record).

So the Jameis Winston era comes to a halt but it was fun.

The return of Jaxson Dart. it's crazy... with these key injuries... rookie QB. We perceive the Giants to be a bad football team and they are a bad football team.

But this team scores points. The Giants have scored 20+ points in 7 consecutive football games. (The Giants haven't done that since 2011. Eli Manning was throwing to Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks that year).

So when we're looking into this matchup, we can't price the Giants out as a bad offense... because they're really not. This team scores.

And this Patriots defense is struggling against the run. I was talking about this a couple weeks ago. The Patriots had elite numbers against the run but they hadn't played many teams that can run the ball. We're seeing this defensive front exposed a bit in the last few weeks.

Injuries might be a part of this. They did get Christian Elliss back last week, but not we've got defensive line issues.

With the Giants offensive line completely healthy, you'd think Jaxson Dart should have some clean pockets to throw from in this game.

On the other side of the ball, we finally have a game where New England can run the ball... because the Giants have the worst run defense in the NFL.

I don't think I've ever seen numbers this bad over a 6 game sample size before. This might be the worst stretch of run defense I've seen since I started doing this.

The Patriots can't run the ball at all... but since Treveyon Henderson took over as RB1, we're seeing some explosive plays. It's still not efficient... but against the Giants? They should run the ball cuz everyone does.

As far as stopping Drake Maye, the Giants secondary gets a couple pieces back.

Also, the Patriots offensive line is not in good shape right now.

Despite the offensive line issues, I still am not sure if we should worry about Drake Maye. He's been one of the best QBs in the NFL at handling pressure so far this year.

But we do have to point out that we're seeing Drake Maye start to struggle a bit recently.

This should be a good matchup for him though. Giants run a ton of man coverage and Drake Maye's been elite against man coverage so far this year. (Best in NFL).

The Giants aren't allowing a ton of pass yards recently... but it's probably because teams don't need to throw the ball.

I took an over in this game... I'm a little worried with the injuries to New England's offensive line, that they might come out with a conservative gameplan offensively. But based on how these two teams have played this year, it definitely points towards a higher scoring game. Since Kafka has taken over the team, we've seen the Giants calling really aggressive football games.

These aren't teams we've seen play a ton of low-scoring games recently.

I'M ON THE OVER... BUT I DON'T HATE THE GIANTS AT +7.5.
