JETS @ PATRIOTS - 8:15 PM
Last week was a statement win for New England. There was a lotta talk about their strength of schedule. They had the big win against Buffalo... but outside of that, we're talking out the Saints, Dolphins, Panthers, Titans, Browns, Falcons... they beat a lot of bad teams... I think everyone knows New England is strong this year... but there was speculation on how strong. To go on the road and beat the Bucs who were coming off a bye week in Tampa... that's a statement.

The offense was definitely reliant on some big plays. They scored 28 points in the game... but they had a 55 yard TD, a 69 yard TD and a 72 yard TD. Outside of those 3 plays, there wasn't a ton of offense.

So will the offense look more fluent on a short week against the Jets? Well the domination of the Jets is over. The Patriots had won 15 games in a row against the Jets. They've actually lost two of their last three. Drake Maye has actually never played a full game against the Jets though. The first game last year, Brissett was still the starter... Drake Maye came in for a couple series at the end of the game. The 2nd game... Drake Maye started but left the game with a concussion.

Now it's only the Jets... And not only that... it's the Jets on the road.

There's a chance New England gets Stevenson and Boutte back for this one but it's a short week... I feel like questionables end up sitting more often on the short week. (I don't know if that's true).

Even though New England's offense wasn't particularly great last week... I still just don't see how we can responsibly count on the Jets to stop Drake Maye.

Jets defense does have Quincy Williams back... but they've got other injuries they're dealing with.

The Jets are gonna try to play man coverage? With no pressure on Drake Maye?

On the other side of the ball, what exactly are we expecting the Jets to do offensively in this game?

I will say... the Patriots defense might be a bit over-valued based on their opponents.

Breece Hall and the Jets run game might be New England's front 7's toughest test in several weeks.

Remember... New England is still missing one of their leading tacklers, Christian Elliss.

We saw the Patriots play without Elliss on the field last week... what happened? The Bucs... who were missing their RB and haven't been able to run the ball all season... ran the ball efficiently.

And we talk about how terrible the Jets offense is... and trust me, I agree that it's terrible. But they're averaging 6.2 YPP and 33 PPG in their last two. They've won two games in a row.

I think we all have it in our head that the Jets have just been getting blown out left and right here... that hasn't been the case.
