NFL Week 10 Monday

EAGLES @ PACKERS - 8:15 PM

So Green Bay coming off a home loss to the Carolina Panthers... and I gotta say... the Packers body of work since Week 3 isn't all that impressive.

Now they're in a huge NFC matchup here that could possibly be for homefield in the playoffs. This is also a rematch of the Brazil game last year.

So right off the bat, we know these teams are gonna be battling to establish the run. Both of these teams move at a slow pace... both of these teams love to be in control of the game by running the ball and controlling the clock.

So do we think Green Bay can stop the Eagles run game in this one?

Do we think this data point is enough for us to declare the Eagles run game back?

The Eagles will be without Cam Jurgens in this one. He didn't play in the Giants game either.

I gotta say though... I'm not sure how much I trust the Packers defensive front either.

And look specifically at their last two games... Green Bay's kinda getting run on right now.

Is it that crazy to think the Packers weakness defensively might be the run? Remember, they acquired Micah Parsons but they did trade Kenny Clark. I can see both sides of this argument... on one hand, it's looking like the weakness of this Packers defense is stopping the run... and the Eagles are a run-first offense all the way with one of the best RBs in the NFL... but on the other hand, the Eagles run game hasn't been very reliable this year... they're missing their starting center... and Green Bay JUST lost a home game by getting run on. So it will be a point of emphasis for the Packers defense to take the run away.

I think the more important question... is can the Packers stop Jalen Hurts... because this guy has been on a rampage. Jalen Hurts is playing the best football of his career right now in terms of throwing the ball.

We know Green Bay can generate pressure off the edge... but Philadelphia has two of the best OTs in the NFL and Jalen Hurts has been excellent under pressure so far this year.

Bryce Young didn't do much through the air on Green Bay last week... there were 15-20 MPH winds and it's Bryce Young. Green Bay was getting thrown on in the 4 games before that. I think Philadelphia's gonna move the ball in this game.

The question is... can they make stops? The Packers offense has been streaky... but when it's on, I'm not sure anyone's capable of stopping it. And the Eagles defense really hasn't been excellent this year.

Now Jordan Love has struggled under pressure this year. That's how you beat Green Bay.... you get pressure on Jordan Love.

The problem is... Green Bay's offensive line is great in pass protection and they might be at full strength here. Zach Tom and Aaron Banks have both missed games this year... it looks like there's a chance both are playing in this one.

The lack of receiving weapons... is this going to be a problem? We saw Jordan Love with clean pockets to work with... struggling to move the ball against Carolina last week. Now it was windy as hell... but still, it's concerning.

And I think we're about to see this Eagles defense turn it up a bit. They were dealing with injuries earlier in the season. They're now healthier... and their biggest weakness was a lack of edge rushers. They added Jaelan Phillips and Brandon Graham is back and expected to play.

Jordan Love has cooked on man coverage this year... but with the Eagles secondary fully healthy and Reed and Kraft out... it's tough to say.

They seem to be tightening things up against the run. They had that embarrassing Thursday Night Football loss to the Giants... since then, the defense looks much better.

Now does that mean they can go into Lambeau and stop Josh Jacobs from running the ball? I'd say probably not. Green Bay's been running it pretty consistently.

I think both offenses are gonna move the ball. But both move so slowly and like to run the ball.. not sure if I can get there with an over. I did take the Eagles at +2.5.
