RAMS @ FALCONS - 8:15 PM
So I don't believe the Rams can win the division... but that doesn't mean this is a meaningless game.

Morris was McVay's DC for 3 years.

You would think... indoors against the Falcons secondary... that it's a pretty good matchup for the Rams offense.

We've got concerns here on the offense for the Rams though. I gotta say... this Rams offensive line has made me a believer.

The question is.. can this version of the Rams offensive line handle the Falcons blitz packages? The Rams lead the NFL, only allowing 19 sacks all season and the Falcons are 2nd in the NFL with 50 sacks.

It's kind of hard to doubt Matt Stafford right now. The Rams have the #1 offense in the NFL on paper. Matt Stafford just went into Seattle... outdoors... against one of the best defenses in the NFL, who was fully healthy... and threw for 457 yards. Davante Adams didn't even play in this game btw.

Now the Falcons defense is in good shape... and it's different than Seattle's defense.

Atlanta's defense is tough to get a feel for. Deablo got injured early in the season and they were really struggling against the run. Deablo came back from injury and there was a 3 game stretch there where Atlanta was playing great defense against the run.

And the Rams can run the ball. It doesn't get talked about as much cuz all the headlines are about Stafford and Puka. The Rams have the most efficient rushing attack in the NFL.

What about the other side of the ball?

Rams defense is in pretty good shape. Looks like Fiske is gonna play. Roger McCreary is also back.

Falcons offense is in good shape around Cousins.

I don't like this matchup for Kirk Cousins. Cousins is 3-2 as the starter but his two best games were against blitz heavy defenses (NO & TB).

We just saw Kirk Cousins having problems with the Cardinals defense last week... another defense that doesn't blitz.

What do we think of the Rams defense right now?

Remember... Atlanta does have a strong offensive line and they've been running the ball.
