The. They got absolutely smoked by UVA last week.... 514 yards of offense. Cavs averaged 8.0 YPC on the ground!

Now, the 2025 Virginia offense is definitely better than the 2024 Virginia offense.. but still this is not an offense that should going on the road to Raleigh and running the ball down down your throat.

That's exactly why I grabbed a Wake +7.5 here... I truly believe Wake Forest will be able to run the football this season. Remember, Dickert brought over 3 starters from his Washington State line last year. Not to mention 3rd team all ACC RB Claiborne. I don't trust this defense right now.

I know Wake opened up the season with a really shaky data point against Kennesaw... but I'm not overreacting to that.

They had a nice easy one against Western Carolina last weekend... meanwhile, NC State was just in an absolute shootout against a conference opponent (even though it wasn't a conference game).

Wake's been playing some defense so far... yes I know they've played nobody. But a home conference game on a short week.

Now is Wake Forest's defense able to make consistent stops against CJ Bailey and that Wolfpack offense? I'm not sure... but this should not be more than a TD. I'm on Wake +7.5. If you get the text alerts, you probably already know that.
