BOWLING GREEN @ UMASS - 4:30 PM
UMass is in danger of the dreaded 0-12 season.

The good news is... we finally have a game where UMass might look decent defensively. They're completely crushed with injuries. They can't stop anybody. But Bowling Green has one of the worst offenses in the country.

The problem is, ever since UMass lost LB Timmy Hinspeter, they're getting cooked on the ground religiously. All Bowling Green does is run the ball. So even though Bowling Green's offense is bad, it's hard to imagine they can't run the ball on this injured UMass defense.

We don't even know who the QB is gonna be for Bowling Green this week. They've used 4 different QBs this year. I still think they should be able to move the ball on UMass because they're that bad. On the other side of the ball, there's not even a discussion here. AJ Hairston and Brandon Rose both got injured last week. UMass is coming into this one with their 3rd string QB. This is a passing offense... rocking a 3rd string QB.

Bowling Green's last two games were against offenses that throw the ball. Noah Kim and Ben Finley are both solid MAC QBs. Neither were able to throw the ball on this defense. UMass might legitimately score 0 points in this game.

If I knew Drew Pine was gonna be playing QB, I would lay the number with Bowling Green. UMass is just that far below every other CFB team right now with the injuries.
WESTERN MICHIGAN @ EASTERN MICHIGAN - 7:30 PM
Last week was impressive. Northern Illinois has a solid defense... not great... but it's not a bad defense. Western Michigan went on the road and just steamrolled them on the ground.

WMU has now won 7 of their last 8. Win clinches a spot in the MAC Championship game (obviously).

So I'm not sure if Eastern Michigan can stop em. Eastern Michigan is playing SIGNIFICANTLY better on the defensive side of the ball. In fact, they've got great numbers against the run in their last 3 games... and all 3 were against rushing offenses.

So Western Michigan is most likely gonna be running the ball in this game. I didn't think this offense was very good... but they're clearly operating at a higher level right now.

On the other side of the ball, we've got a really tough matchup for Eastern Michigan. Eastern Michigan is an offense that likes to throw the ball. Nobody has been able to throw the ball on Western Michigan this year.

The strength of this Western Michigan defense is the pass rush. Nadame Tucker might be the best defensive player in the entire conference right now. He's got 11 sacks. Noah Kim tends to hold onto the football. He's got escapability but I would imagine he's running for his life in this game.
