MLB PICKS Divisional Series Game 2 10/14/22

Small, but another green night last night for Toast. Solid work after a shit last month of the season. Toast is back today with another set of plays from the MLB Playoffs.

This is more of a play of the number than anything. Getting the Guardians with Bieber on the mound against Cortes. I understand that Cleveland has not scored much this post season, but at the same time the total for this game set at 6. So the books so not think there will be many runs either. If we push so be it, but like I said at this number, I gotta play Cleveland F5 for a half unit. like 80% of the money in on the Yanks, I just do not want to lay that juice.

I still do not think the Braves looked that great even in a game 2 win. Now they gotta head to the Bank, and face this Phillies team who has not had a home playoff game since 2011. Aaron Nola looked fantastic his first start this postseason, and at home I expect another solid outing. Spencer Strider has been great for the Braves, but my issue is he is a rookie and he has not pitched in multiple weeks. Phillies were 13 games over 500 at home this year, I think they use the energy from the crowd, and take a 2-1 series lead tonight.

Finally!! The Padres beat the Dodgers in LA, and we are all tied up in the series now coming back to San Diego. Here again I am taking the Padres, because I think they have the pitching advantage with Snell over Gonsoling. Snell has been lights out for the Padres over the last couple months, I love taking my chances with him especially at home where he seems to pitch even better. Tony Gonsolin has been great for us all year. The issue I have is the playoffs are a different animal, and he has not pitched much over the last couple weeks. Gonsolin will be on a pitch count of 75. I just think that is way to much to ask of the Dodgers bullpen, which has shown that they are not the same unit as the regular season . Yes, I know it has been 2 games, but my point is they are not lights out, there are no set roles and I just do not trust them. Compare them to the Padres bullpen who has been fantastic all postseason.
