MLB Evening Picks 9/22
Here is the rest of the MLB slate from Toast.
Brewers @ Red ( 6:41 PM)
Reds F5 ML(+130)
I know the Reds have not looked great the last 10 games or so, but playing the Cardinals and Red Sox can do that. The Reds actually have won 2 of 3 and now have Hunter Greene on the mound. Greene looked great his last time out ( off the IL) against the Cardinals, not giving up a run and striking out 11. The Brewers just got done playing 3 series against the Mets, Yanks, and Cards, which tells me this could be a flat spot for the Brew Crew.
Jays @ Rays (6:41 PM)
Toronto ML (-120)
The Jays bullpen gave up a 3 run, 8th inning lead last night. Now they travel to Tampa to face a Rays team not playing great baseball, and their leaders are fighting in the locker room. Now they say the locker room is fine, but either way they are not playing well. Jose Berrios has been pitching much better, and has a good history against the Rays. Berrios has faced the Yanks, Red Sox, and Orioles his last 3 road starts and has not lost. This is pretty much a bullpen day for the Rays. I just think the Jays are rolling right now, and the fact they lost the way they did last night, I think they come out firing today.
Astros @ Orioles (7:06 PM)
Astros / Dodgers ML parlay (+125)
Verlander on the mound for the Astros, facing an Orioles team who has been struggling at the plate. Verlander is still making a case for the Cy Young as well. The Astros will not have Altuve, but it does not bother me with Verlander on the bump.
Dodgers have lost a couple games in this series, and face Gallen who has been GREAT this year, BUT Julio Urias has been better. I know the Dodgers have nothing to play for, but I still do not think they just fold tonight.
Braves @ Phillies (7:16 PM)
Braves ML (-145)
Braves lost yesterday against the Nats, and maybe they were looking ahead to today. Both Max Fried and Ranger Suarez have pitched well, but when these teams play in Philadelphia runs are scored. Not to mention we just saw this same matchup 5 days ago, so I just think 7.5 is way too low. The Phillies bullpen had 5 guys used last night as well. I just think the Braves are the better team, not to mention I really do not like the spot for the Phillies after those 2 games agianst the Jays. Max Fried is 33-13 the last 3 year, he is someone I trust to pitch well in big games.
Red Sox @ Yankees (7:16 PM)

Yea I know everyone is betting the Yanks, with Judge going for 61. Maybe he gets it, maybe not. All I know that Wacha just keeps winning games. He has faced this Yankees team already once this year and went 7 scoreless. Judge is 0-14 against Wacha for the record. The weather is not going to be great in the Bronx either. I think we see a close game. Boston has shown all year they score when Wacha is on the mound, so their recent struggles do not really bother me.

I am sure this will be a popular pick, I do not care. I am dumb for taking the White Sox last night. I think this team is dead in the water, much like the Twins. Bieber got hit hard his last time in Chicago. I think he comes out and shoves today to make the Guardians a lock in the post season.

I have not been on our Dodgers RL the last couple days, but now that they have lost a couple games, i am jumping right back in. Yes, Zach Gallen has been great this year. You know how has been better? Julio Urias. Urias is 40-10 the last 3 years. He is just so hard to hit and I love betting the Dodgers when he pitches.
